The Healing of Flowers: Art workshop

Sunday 7 July, 11am-1pm with artist and botanical art therapist, Eleanor Darley
A workshop with flowers open to everyone.
Workshop tickets are £10 per person and pre-booking in advance is required. Places are limited.

A fresh approach to making your own beautiful bouquet, together with a gentle intuitive botanical painting experience. In the workshop, you will learn to respond to your own instincts and sensitivity to flowers; observing and listening to their healing qualities.

Healing from flowers is a language as old as time and already something we respond to naturally. ‘Floriography’ is the name the Victorians gave to learning the language of flowers, but we intuitively know how to understand the qualities of flowers, how their forms and gestures reveal their function, and their use for different kinds of occasions, rituals, personal connection and emotional wellbeing.
Join artist and botanical art therapist Eleanor Darley at Winsford Cottage Hospital on Sunday 7th July, the room will be filled with the beauty of many colourful summer blooms for you to create your own meaningful bouquet and artwork.

Open Day entry

Due to the historic nature of our buildings we have a limited capacity for our Open Day events. You may therefore be asked to wait a short time while other visitors finish their visit. Whilst booking is not essential, priority will be given to those who have booked in advance. Thank you for your co-operation.

Donating to Landmark

As a charity, the Landmark Trust relies on donations to support our work. We couldn’t have rescued over 200 Landmarks without the support of people like you. Your support saves historic buildings in danger of being lost forever and makes them available for all to experience and enjoy.

Your donation could help train the craftspeople needed to restore buildings like this, or it could offer opportunities to young people to experience history first-hand, through our open days and free stays for study groups.
