Snorkel Safaris

Warden-led events are displayed in the Tavern

2024 Dates Announced

The waters surrounding Lundy are a haven for marine life and have played host to pioneering marine conservation in Britain for years. The island's rich seas are unparalleled, supporting curious grey seals, beautiful cup corals and magnificent kelp forests. Our thriving marine environment has been protected since 1973, becoming Britain's first Marine Nature Reserve, Marine Conservation Zone and No Take Zone. These designations, along with the island's overlapping Special Area of Conservation status, safeguard our spectacular Marine Protected Area for all to enjoy.

Our Warden-led Snorkel Safari event programme provides a unique insight into Lundy's magnificent world below the waves. Under the supervision of an experienced guide, you will explore the rich waters of the Landing Bay, observing species such as spider crab, ballan wrasse and anemones in their natural habitat.

Each session lasts one hour, which includes time to ‘kit up’, receive a short pre-snorkel briefing followed by approximately half an hour in the water. Events are suitable for beginners through to experienced snorkelers and include wetsuit and snorkel gear hire.

£20 per person | Places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
