Iestyn Davies is a singer, a countertenor, who has appeared in opera houses and concert halls across the world from the Metropolitan Opera in New York to La Scala, Milan and the Carnegie Hall to the Wigmore Hall. He has also appeared alongside Mark Rylance on the stages of the West End and Broadway. He read Archaeology and Anthropology at Cambridge University whilst singing as a member of the Choir of St John’s College and later completed his singing studies at the Royal Academy of Music. A winner of both Grammy and Gramophone Awards, a Royal Philharmonic Society award and Critics’ Circle award, Iestyn went on to receive the MBE from the Queen in 2017 for his musical achievements. He is a also an honorary fellow of the Royal Academy of Music.
