Janet Walker

Janet Walker joined the Landmark Board in 2023. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, she embarked on a variety of roles in film and television in the independent production sector, BBC and ITV, culminating in the position of Director of Finance and Business Affairs at Channel 4. In 2003 Janet moved into the world of horseracing (and construction!) when she took up the post of Commercial and Finance Director at Ascot Racecourse where she was heavily involved in the £200 million new Grandstand project. Janet moved to the education sector in 2011 when she joined Eton College as Bursar, or Chief Operating Officer. Her role includes responsibility for the School’s 400 buildings, about 100 of which are listed. Janet has held non-executive positions at a variety of companies including Pizza Express, the Young Vic, the Design Council and Henderson High Income Trust plc. She is currently a member of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Council.
