How to find us
Wherever possible we encourage our visitors to travel to us using low-carbon forms of transport.
By train:
Plymouth Railway Station is about 3 miles from Crownhill Fort. From the station, you can either take a taxi, bus or rent a Beryl bike to get to Crownhill Fort.
By bus:
Crownhill Fort is served by both Plymouth City and First buses. Services 1, 40, 41, 42, 44, 50, 51 and 101 stop within ¼mile of the entrance with around 20 buses per hour during the daytime.
By bicycle:
Crownhill Fort is easily accessible by bicycle and once inside the Fort secure parking with CCTV coverage is available. Shower and changing facilities are available, along with electric bike charging if required. Call the Landmark Trust office for more information.
By car:
Exit the A38 at the Manadon junction with the A386 and head north. Keep to the left-hand lane until you go beneath an underpass and follow the signs for Crownhill Fort. If you are coming from Tavistock, head south on the A386 until you get to Crownhill where you will see signs for Crownhill Fort.
