Win a copy of On The Roof: A Thatcher's Journey
In his new book On the Roof: A Thatcher's Journey, South Devon thatcher Tom Allan offers a fascinating insight into the ancient, living tradition of thatching.
As one of the world’s oldest crafts, thatching is preserved at many rural Landmarks - including Woodsford Castle which has the largest expanse of thatch in Dorset, and Causeway House which, as far as we are aware, is the last inhabited heather-thatch building in England.
On the Roof: A Thatcher's Journey by Tom Allan is a new book about his own fascinating journey of discovery as a thatcher, and we are delighted to offer a free copy to three lucky winners of our prize draw competition.
