Jamie Lake worked with photo artist Will Carter and poet Fiona Hamilton to record images of the fractured buildings. ‘I wanted to record images of a particular moment in time using a method that would bring to the fore and scrutinize the fragility of the stone edifices.’ He completed his project before work began on-site at Llwyn Celyn, our medieval manor house in Monmouthshire, resulting in a unique record of the buildings which question our ideas about decay and beauty. Here he reminisces about the project with Fiona.
